Meet the Founder

My commitment to helping others began early, rooted in my faith and deep ties to the Goshen community that reach back to the late 1970s. As a student at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School, Whiteman Junior High School, and Goshen High School, I was drawn to supporting teachers, classmates, and anyone who needed extra help. Even then, I aspired to listen carefully, problem-solve, and make things a little easier for the people around me. That instinct carried into my professional life. After earning my degree from Ball State University, I began my career in education, spending more than a decade teaching in Indiana and Georgia and developing the skills to guide people through challenges with patience, clarity, and compassion.

Building on my experience in education, I later moved into professional training and medical software instruction, where I supported healthcare teams and service providers in improving communication, quality control, and learning systems. In these roles, I created instructional materials, led training programs, and helped organizations strengthen their internal processes. This work sharpened my ability to translate complicated information into clear, practical guidance — an essential skill when supporting families navigating senior care.

In 2014, I transitioned fully into the senior care industry, serving in leadership and marketing roles within local communities. As an executive director and marketing director, I worked closely with residents, families, staff, and community partners to improve service quality and build strong, supportive environments. I introduced the Green Oaks of Goshen Assisted Living community to the local area, helped shape its public presence, and fostered lasting relationships with local facilities, home care agencies, nonprofits, and service providers. These partnerships continue to inform my work and allow me to connect families with trusted, reliable resources.

During the COVID-19 pandemic beginning in 2020, I worked in information collection and community outreach, collaborating closely with government agencies and social service organizations to help individuals access essential resources during a time of uncertainty and crisis. This experience strengthened my ability to navigate complex systems and advocate effectively for those in need. Across every stage of my career — from teaching to training to senior care leadership — my focus has remained the same: listening carefully, understanding each person’s unique situation, and helping them move forward with confidence. Today, I bring together decades of experience, strong local relationships, and a deep commitment to ethical, compassionate service to support seniors and families throughout Northern Indiana.
